AFC Bournemouth, commonly referred to simply as Bournemouth, is a professional football club located in Bournemouth, Dorset, England. Established as Boscombe St. John's Institute Football Club back in 1899 and later changed to Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic Football Club; finally adopting its current moniker AFC Bournemouth in 1972.
